Housing Study
The Kearney Housing Study identified an appetite for a variety of housing types, affordable units, and a satisfaction with Kearney's economy, public amenities, built environment and overall quality of life.
Based on the identified needs, various solutions were recommended, including the creation of a housing partnership, funding mechanisms and a balanced approach of programs and projects to achieve the strategic housing goals. The project involved a six-month process of data gathering, community engagement and plan development. Planners conducted a total of six steering committee meetings, three public presentations, seven stakeholder group interviews and a public survey with 1,682 respondents.
