Steindler
Orthopedic
Clinic and
Ambulatory
Surgery Center
Planning
Planning for this new orthopedic focused facility focused on expressing and reinforcing the Steindler Orthopedic Clinic patient care philosophy: improving the patient experience.
Planning for this new facility in Johnson County, Iowa focused on maximizing efficiencies between a joined clinic and ambulatory surgical center. Situated on a 36-acre site in the fast-growing city of North Liberty between Iowa City and Cedar Rapids, the building is oriented toward nearby thoroughfares to increase ease of entry and visibility. The ASC is able to function separately from the clinical spaces while still leveraging and sharing many back of house areas, which reduces redundant spaces and saves costs. The campus is planned to ease entry, reduce patient travel distances and maximize square footage.
