Children's Physicians, the primary care pediatric group for Children's Hospital & Medical Center, sought to ensure children are growing and developing normally by providing routine and sick care as well as management of chronic conditions with an outreach clinic in the Dundee Flats mixed-use development, in the heart of the Omaha metro community.
RDG worked with Children's Physicians to translate their vision into a comprehensive program, space plan and tenant improvement design that maximizes the 4,500 SF space to meet the needs of patients and professionals. Families and their children are comforted upon arrival in the Clinic reception area, complete with comfortable accommodations and a child play space. Eight comprehensive exam rooms allow pediatricians, pediatric nurse practitioners and physician assistants to accept and treat patients swiftly while maintaining patient privacy, supported by an on-site laboratory, audiology, nurse case management and medical social work services. An open nurses' station, professional work room and concealed clerical spaces afford maximum efficiency for physicians and staff alike.
