DNA sequencing inspires this donor recognition installation in Newman University's Bishop Gerber Science Center.
The piece displays the names of the building's generous contributors. Complimenting the foyer's iconic two-story double helix wall in both subject and material, the donor recognition piece's waterfall effect of engraved wood stained blocks represents the top donor giving levels. Subsequent giving levels are represented using the University's academic colors. Anticipating growth, each unassigned block is removable to add recognition of future donors.
