Joe Kotulak, AIA, NCARB, is a senior partner and architect at RDG. As the leader of the firm’s Worship market, he focuses on designing spaces that help build faith communities and enrich the worship experience.
Deeply driven by his personal faith, Joe seeks to collaborate with clients across denominations to understand each faith community's specific needs and design environments that empower them to fulfill their mission. A key aspect of his work involves partnering with local, national and international artists to develop integrated art solutions rooted in a client's identity and that enhance the unique experience for worship participants. Beyond his professional role, Joe is an active member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, where he serves in the hospitality ministry, leads small groups and is a lector.
He is a board member and current treasurer of the Green Omaha Coalition, demonstrating his commitment to sustainability and community well-being. Joe serves as the Omaha Office Lead, dedicated to advancing RDG’s engagement in the Omaha community. Additionally, he coordinates RDG’s summer internship program in Omaha, focusing on creating meaningful experiences for the next generation of designers.
