RDG Planning & Design was asked to update this historic, Italianate Catholic church to fit the needs of today's liturgy.

Worship

The efforts involved a three-fold approach: refresh finishes (RENOVATE), introduce new mechanical and sound systems (INNOVATE) and revive elements of liturgical and historic significance (RESTORE). Building on a unique parish name, the seven sorrows of Mary taken from scripture are displayed throughout. Dialogue with the historic preservation board of the city of Manhattan, Kansas ensured continued use by this active parish while preserving an iconic structure for the greater community.
