Lower Cedar
Valley Master
Plan
The Lower Cedar Valley Master Plan serves as a catalyst for floodplain preservation and habitat restoration for more than 450 native plants and over 40 reptiles and amphibians, including the rare Massasauga rattlesnake.
The master plan seeks to connect people to nature without damaging the sensitive ecosystem, increase the constituency for conservation, connect with the local community, become Iowa's premier demonstration site for functional floodplains and showcase a working-lands model for the benefit of conservation and agriculture.
