Erfurt Park
Erfurt Park is the result of months of client interaction, cultural research and iterative conceptual thinking. The park utilizes the topography of the site to create tiered play spaces, connecting the tiers with unique pathways.
RDG created a park plan which artistically provides the necessary amenities such as open fields, walking paths, playground, nature playground, shelters, pond and gardens. Drawing inspiration from Erfurt, Germany's primary city park, Ega Park, the bold lines and natural spaces honor Shawnee's sister city while being truly one-of-a-kind in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
