Educare
Springfield
Donor Signage
The Springfield Educare donor recognition wall is a tribute to the generous individuals and organizations that made the new facility possible. Designed from a child's perspective, imagining how children would interact and play with a donor display, results in a truly interactive piece featuring colorfully painted and naturally stained wooden blocks that can be turned and explored.
The client wanted the display to be made from natural materials, in keeping with the rest of the building, and to be designed for a child-friendly environment. The designers approached the project from a child's perspective, imagining how children would want to interact with a donor display. As a result, the interactive recognition piece features colorfully painted and naturally stained wooden blocks that can be rotated.
The larger blocks at the top are for adults to interact with, displaying the names of the donors. Meant to grow through the years, some blocks are intentionally left blank for future donors to be added. The smaller blocks at the bottom are strategically placed for children to twirl and reveal the Educare logo and various animals that are referenced in other parts of the building. display provides a fun, tactile experience for all ages and encourages children to explore, learn, and thrive in the Educare program.
