This year’s Iowa Water Conference highlights topics surrounding the theme of “Life Depends on Water. Water Depends on You.” RDG’s Greg Pierce joins Aaron Gwinnup, Michael Schmidt, Pat Sauer and Loulou Dickey to share insights into Iowa’s new law on stormwater and topsoil Senate File 455.
SF455 was approved on April 10, 2024, and regulates topsoil and stormwater at construction sites. Since passed, SF455 could greatly limit stormwater regulations in Iowa that are applicable to new developments and limit cities and counties that are able to reduce the potential for flooding and downstream channel erosion.
