RDG in the Media: St. Louis Business Journal Releases Largest Interior Design Firms List
RDG Planning & Design has been named one of the largest and most influential firms defining the Greater St. Louis economy.
The St. Louis Business Journal recently released its 2024 “Book of Lists,” an in-depth look at the largest and most influential players defining the local economy. RDG Planning & Design was among the journal’s top interior design firms, placing seventh out of 22 on the journal’s “Largest Interior Design Firms” list.
“When we opened the St. Louis office, we didn’t have a specific growth metric we were trying to achieve. Almost 8 years later, we are at nearly 30 team members,” said RDG Principal Catrina Cook. “Our focus has been on adding amazing team members individually to support our positive workplace culture. We are proud to have a strong team of talented and passionate professionals.”
RDG officially opened its St. Louis location in 2017, renovating a former antique gallery in the historic Maplewood neighborhood. At the time, RDG’s expansion into St. Louis reflected the firm’s substantial growth in senior living design services; in the years since, the office has grown to nearly 30 employees with design, architecture and planning professionals working across multiple markets.
The Journal’s Book of Lists is compiled by research teams and ranked by local, full-time employed designers. Local is defined as the counties of St. Louis, St. Charles, Lincoln, Warren, Franklin, Washington, Jefferson and the city of St. Louis in Missouri; and St. Clair, Madison, Jersey, Clinton, Calhoun, Macoupin, Bond and Monroe counties in Illinois.
