A new office in Brooklyn and the addition of architect Jenna Reichberg, AIA, position RDG to shape learning environments where planning, design and institutional vision converge.

As part of its continued investment in the Northeast, RDG Planning & Design has established a dedicated presence in New York City and welcomed architect and civic strategist Jenna Reichberg, AIA, to help lead its growing national College & University practice alongside senior partner, Mike Houston.

RDG brings a reputation for designing academic environments that are strategic, flexible and deeply rooted in institutional mission. With a robust national portfolio that has more recently included work for numerous institutions across the Northeast, RDG solidifies its commitment to the region by expanding into DUMBO, Brooklyn, a strategic step into one of the nation’s most design-forward regions.

"New York demands a level of insight, rigor and responsiveness that few firms can sustain. We’re ready,” said Houston, who established RDG’s New York City office and leads the firm’s College & University Market. “Jenna’s experience in civic design and deep familiarity with the region is a force multiplier for a team already focused on shaping the academic environments of the future.”

Reichberg brings experience as both a higher education designer and public-sector leader, having held key roles with the NYC Department of Design and Construction, Moody Nolan and Matiz Architecture & Design. She has contributed to the strategic development and capital planning efforts for over a dozen public agencies across the five boroughs. Reichberg has also led projects across New York and the Mid-Atlantic region for civic institutions and colleges and universities alike. Her addition enhances RDG’s capacity to deliver both design excellence and the strategic planning that defines effective campus environments.

“I was drawn to RDG’s transformative partnerships with today’s leading universities, bolstered by a team of subject matter experts in college and university planning as well as health science education,” said Reichberg. “This is a firm that understands how planning, design and policy intersect, and how powerful that combination can be for colleges and universities navigating complex challenges.”

Reichberg’s arrival reinforces the strength of RDG’s College & University Market — a multidisciplinary team reimagining academic environments to meet the evolving needs of higher education. This investment positions RDG to build new partnerships that advance its mission: shaping campuses that spark curiosity, drive impact and elevate the learner experience. Guided by strategy and design excellence, the team creates spaces that respond to new modes of teaching, integrate advancing technologies and support long-term institutional growth. With a nationally-recognized voice and leadership anchored in the Midwest, Mountain West and now the Northeast, the firm is positioned to shape the future of educational innovation while serving the unique needs of local communities.
