Throughout his career, Benjamin Kroll, AIA has established a reputation for his design excellence and commitment to serving clients well.
A senior partner and architect, Benjamin is known for his innovative design ideas and collaborative mindset. His award-winning contributions span projects and competitions around the globe and include work in the commercial, institutional, master planning, residential and retail markets. Notaby, Benjamin has contributed his skills and knowledge to a four-building, ground-up academic campus in Des Moines, Iowa, an office tower in Osaka, Japan, residential towers in Dubai UAE and numerous mixed-use towers in the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His work on educational projects ranges from early childhood to higher education facilities, including numerous projects in academic health sciences that have received recognition from American School & University’s Architectural Portfolio Awards.
Experienced with the development of both mid-rise and high-rise projects, Benjamin has contributed to the development and design of campus masterplans, low-rise museums and adaptive reuse of existing structures. He's worked on comprehensive academic healthcare projects entailing research laboratories, clinics, administrative areas, outpatient care, and cafe and socialization amenities. His comprehension of the iterative process and passion for technology underpin his expertise in design, an effort that contributed to the creation of the tallest mass timber research facility in the world at the University of Michigan, which achieved a 40% reduction in embodied carbon.
Benjamin received a master's degree from Pratt Institute in New York and a bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Hannover Universität. He is licensed in New York and Nebraska, LEED accredited by the U.S. Green Building Council and NCARB certified.
